You’re not supposed to answer your own questions, that’s the whole point of the game, otherwise there’s no point in asking in the first place. Do I make myself clear? I want you to report yourself for a violation ( I’m sure there’s one in there somewhere! ) of the rules and promise never to do it again!

Why in the World are "The Who" headlining the Super Bowl?
I mean, I understand that the guys who run the NFL are pretty gun shy after Ms. Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction, but Tom Petty and now The Who?
I’m a 42 year old white guy and even I hate the Who! They were over rated in the 1960-70’s when they were good! Now a bunch of 60 yr old guys with the only great player dead will dust off some 40 year old songs and try to look relevant?
What IS this crap? What about the Rolling Stones, Fall Out Boy, some country singer or a hot chick?
But The Who? Quick survey, how many people now more than "Pinball Wizard" and "Won’t Be Fooled Again"?
Hell, what about Led Zeppelin, KISS, Black Sabbath or even Journey with the Filipino singer??
But The Who????
Has there ever been a more over rated group since Dexy’s Midnight Runners?
WHAT is wrong with having a decent Superbowl group who has been relevant in the past 25 years??
What gives???
I keep hearing Zepp broke up, so did Sabbath! Cannot they reunite? Like 50% of the original Who is better than Bonham’s son on drums with Plant and Page? C’mon people!!
Isn’t the SuperBowl young, hip and violent? Sure, why not Fall Out Boy, they have sold millions and are hard but not heavy, like Van Halen, why not them? Even they are fresher than the Who!
I have been in bands since I was 16, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Thin Lizzy I grew up with, I accepted the Stones, Zep, Sabbath, Pink Floyd and the Who as British invaders. But c’mon, what Great songs do they really have?
What about AC/DC??
Much better than The Who, even "The Police" are better than the Who. Even U2 is better.

We need fans of American football to headline – British soccer, Rugby and Cricket fans should NEVER sing at the halftime of a game they don’t understand or care about.

Rolling Stones? Paul McCartney? The Who?

Uggh!!!

Prince was the best recent show – Let’s get a Prince/Reba duet!!!

Bring back the Grambling Marching Band from Super Bowl I perhaps? Put them in a stage show with Fleetwood Mac performing the USC band’s part in Tusk! Now that would be Football.

The Who really are a great live band. They put a lot of energy into their live performances.
Plus it’s highly unlikely there will be any wardrobe malfunctions.

"Who are You", "Baba O’Reilly"(everyone thinks its called teenage wasteland), "Squeeze Box","My Generation" just to name the first one’s that came to mind in 2 seconds. The Stones already did a halftime show a few years ago. Led Zeppelin?,, um,,, they disbanded in 1980 after Bonham died. Kiss? No way that Gene Simmon’s ego could fit in a football field. Sorry if ya don’t like the Who. I don’t really think that an old band with only 2 original members out of 4 is a great act either for the halftime show but,, its only 15 or 20 minutes. WHO CARES! lol
wado_ki_kyu | Jan 25, 2010

I agree that The Who without Entwhistle is kind of pointless, but to say that they were overrated is simply wrong. They were one of the greatest bands in the history of Rock and Roll, period. I can probably name dozens of their songs with no difficulty. I’ve seen them live several times, and have most of their albums on vinyl. OK, I’m prejudiced, but so are you. We won’t convince each other, that much is obvious.

Now, as to the others you listed. Journey would be a joke. Even when they were popular, they were never the caliber of band one would associate with the Super Bowl halftime show. Kiss and Sabbath, while a bit cloer to that level, are still a bit down the list, and certainly are not the type of family-friendly act the NFL wants. The last time the NFL went with A- (Instead of A) list performers was when the Janet Jackson fiasco happened. Ever since, they’ve been getting top, Hall of Fame level, acts. The Stones just did it four years ago. Fall Out Boy, I’ll assume you were kidding. Zeppelin is not together. Whether you like them or not, The Who have always been a great stadium act, and this is the right stage for them.
Gen. Stiggo (Atheati-in-Chief) | Jan 25, 2010

first off all…..KISS sucks, and second, Led Zeppelin broke up in 1979 after jon bonham(the greatest drummer ever!) died

the who is pretty tight…saw them in 03 with robert plant opening…good show! tom petty sucked last year and i can’t stand janet jackson and justin timberlake…i believe this will be better than the last few half time shows
Ctownbrown | Jan 25, 2010

Oh, how about **** YOU!!

The Who are arguably one of the most talented and influential bands ever. If you are honestly implying that bands like KISS, Fallout Boy, Sabbath or Journey are even close to The Who, then you should be shot. Even at the age they are, they can still rock the sh** out of a show. And if you are legitimately a 42 YO Fall Out Boy fan, you may want to reconsider the direction of your life. I am only 18, and I can appreciate real talent when I hear it. Pete Townshend is one of the greatest song writers ever. so suck on that
Moon the Loon | Jan 25, 2010

The fact that you claim they are overrated means you either don’t actually like rock, or haven’t researched what you are talking about. For *decades* The Who has been regarded as one of the top three rock bands, along with Zeppelin and the Stones.

And the irony is further compounded by your mention of "overrated" and "KISS".

And I would much rather have a group perform that is ‘good’, rather than ‘relevant’. Whatever than means.

Plot: A sudden death tied to a list from the past leads to unimaginable evil. Fresh out of law school and full of hope for the future, Renny Jacobson is stunned by his father’s sudden death—and then by the terms of the will: the elder Jacobson has left the bulk of his estate to charity. For his only son, he has left nothing more than the contents of a deposit box and interest in a company no one has heard of—the Covenant List of South Carolina, Ltd. When Renny encounters lovely Jo Johnston, meets the members of “The List,” and discovers the staggering value of his father’s mysterious bequest, his hope is resurrected. But why is Jo, to whom he is deeply attracted, so reluctant for him to claim his rightful share? Renny feels the supernatural power of the 140-year-old covenant—feels it and wants it for himself. But when his life and Jo’s begin to unravel, he is forced to face the truth about “The List.” And nothing short of a miracle will save them from its grasp.

Scared, paranoid and out of it, blank, suggestions please??? Tell me I'm not crazy?
Okay, today at school, I was in school and I couldn’t stand it. It was like I was in a dream, I couldn’t think straight and I couldn’t do anything. Walking down the halls, I felt like the crowd was closing in on me, the same people always turning the same corners, haze in my eyes, they seemed to all be staring at me, just me. I felt Center stage and there was an ultra-violet spotlight. Everything was like a dream. By the way, I don’t do drugs, I don’t drink, anything like that, I do not do, I just want you to answer that question I asked. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but my girlfriend thinks, I also think, that it’s someone in my family who is dying, my uncle is dying and my mom is too and possibly any other family member, we think that my feelings are an omen, a feeling of loss, like ESP, before they die, I know it’s gonna happen or something. Am I crazy? Please suggestions?

BBC Watchdog: Half term holiday hikes

Watchdog checked internet prices this October half term. If you booked a family of four self catering in Tenerife with Thomson, you would pay 85% more in half term then you would the week after. If you travelled with Thomas Cook during the holidays that would be an increase of 123% for the same period that week and with Cosmos you would see a price hike of 111%. Center Parcs first opened in the UK 22 years ago. They offer short break holidays in a luxury forest location. All four of their villages offer a number of leisure activities -you can cycle, get a massage and go for a hike. But there’s one hike they don’t shout about on their TV ads and that’s the one they do with their prices in the school holidays. But why are Center Parcs charging so much and so much more than other similar companies? Business is booming according to their own website which boasts an annual occupancy rate of 90%. One parent believed it is because they can. "It’s opportunistic and it’s not entirely fair but most holiday companies do put their prices up for holidays. Trying to book flights for holidays you’re going to pay a huge amount extra." "In common with many other companies, (not exclusively in the holiday sector), our prices are set according to demand. Price increases reflect the popularity of our breaks during peak periods, and the value which our guests place on them. We will be 100% full during the forthcoming half-term and will actually have over-demand for these breaks. "Center Parcs is a unique short-break concept and, unlike many UK holiday companies, we are open 365 days a year. We offer a huge range of both indoor and outdoor facilities and in essence this makes us weather-proof. As a result it is very difficult to make accurate comparisons between Center Parcs and other operators who may have more seasonal demand patterns. Other companies whose prices Watchdog compared also defended the higher charges in school holidays. Butlins and Haven Holidays said their rates were affected by seasonality and demand, and that customers got value for money. A spokesman for Butlins said, "During peak booking times and school breaks, we import additional entertainment – including the popular stars from Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor – and provide extra facilities and activities for all the family. An enhanced experience naturally attracts a higher cost but means guests get even more for their money."

What's your earliest memory involving music?
Music is everywhere, and I’ve grown up with it.

My earliest memory with music is probably when I was about 3.
My parents hadn’t completely "grown up" yet, they still had long hair and tye-dye shirts.
My dad was playing one of his old bootleg Grateful Dead tapes from the concert in ‘84
I just remember twirling around my living room with my parents, they looked so happy, so mellow.
"High Time" was playing, and my parents said I was wearing a tye-dye- onesie.

What was your earliest memory with music?

I remember when I was about 3 or 4 and I went to daycare, my friend was singing American Pie in gibberish. I was really little so I thought that those were the words. I went to my grandma’s for babysitting later, and I was still singing the song. I remember my pappy putting on an American Pie record and me jumping around and saying "that’s the song!" My mom copied a tape of it for me and I remember taking it everywhere with me. I learned every single word and I could still remember them years later when I rediscovered the tape in a box that I was going to throw away.

I <3 American Pie.

What good are fast cars if I'm not allowed to drive them at their top speed?
We have speed limits of no more than 70 something miles an hour on some roads, yet we have cars that go over 100 mph.

What good are they? Just so you can brag about catching speeders and make more money from speeders just like how you enjoy making money just from people not wearing seatbeats?

What good is that V8 Camaro I want to buy someday if I can’t burn rubber and max out that speedometer? I refuse to pay to race it on a racetrack and I refuse to settle for a patheitc quarter miles dragstrip either. I want to max out the speed either on an open road service like in "MythBusters" without paying or go to a race track without paying.

What are my options as far as maxing out the speed if I refuse to get pulled over yet refuse to pay to use a place to go top speed?

And don’t tell me to just follow the speed limit or to speed and pay the fine. I don’t want to just follow the speed limit but I don’t want to get caught speeding on public roads either. I want to max out the performance where it’s perfectly legal and I don’t have to pay a fee for it.

Your question says, "What good are fast cars if I’m not allowed to drive them at their top speed?"
You answer your own question. You are allowed to drive them at top speed but you must pay for it. It is not against the law to max out the speed on a vehicle, it is just illegal to do it on public roads.

Stop acting like such a child and pay the fee to go to the race track.

SAT: How well do I really have to do?
This is the situation. I go to a small private school. My GPA is 99.16 and I am ranked first out of 142 students. I am on just about every academic team in the school, although I haven’t won much. I took one AP as a sophomore (E.History- 5) and I am taking 5 APs this year (I am a junior). I feel like the only thing that’s in my way is the SAT. I did well on the PSAT (1450/2060) but I don’t know how well I could do on the actual SAT.

So my question is: What do I have to get on my SAT to have a legitimate shot at getting into a premier Ivy, such as Harvard or Yale? Additionally, I am not sure what the best method is to "study" for the test. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much! (Excuse me if I sounded arrogant!)
